Annual St Davids Day Dragon Parade

Spend St Davids Day in a sea of dragons at the home of Dewi Sant

In honour of our Patron Saint of Wales, the UK's smallest city hosts an annual dragon parade throughout the city centre.

Once home to Saint David, or Dewi Sant as we call him in Wales, St Davids briefly closes the road on a chosen day around March 1st and sees families, schools and children parade down the high street from Oriel Y Parc to Cross Square holding their handmade dragons high for all to see. Each year the theme changes, so check out the Oriel Y Parc website near the time for up-to-date information.

In the run-up to this event, Oriel Y Parc usually hosts dragon-making workshops to help you prepare.
